The activities of the fourth Aramo Heritage Festival, which is held in cooperation with the Lattakia Governorate, began today in the village of Aramo, in the Slanfeh region.

The activities of the first day included poems by poets Wadi’ah Darwish, Sarah Khair Bek, Haitham Bishani and Riad Darwish, in which they sang about the village, its historical heritage and its steadfastness in the face of terrorism that robbed it to restore its vitality and health as a patch of the mosaic of our beloved homeland.

He also presented a theatrical show that sang about the history of the village, and a dance show presented by the children of the Qandil Center for Activities and Talent Development. The girl, Ghina Jamous, performed a show of dancing gymnastics movements wrapped in the Syrian flag, representing the emerging generation that resisted and was victorious over the global war that Syria was exposed to.

In a statement to SANA's reporter, Haider Naisa, the director of the Al-Qandil Cultural Forum, explained that the slogan of the festival this year is No to the intruder... Yes to the authentic ancient, which is to return to the past, resurrect the beautiful heritage, enhance communication between the generations of grandparents and grandchildren, and stand in the face of the strange cultural invasion that threatens our customs and traditions.

He pointed out that the specificity of the festival lies in celebrating the return of life and hope to the region after it suffered from the darkness of the terrorists and their brutal massacres, thanks to the solidarity of its people and their standing by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army to liberate their land from the abomination of terrorism, and it rose up to dance and rejoice again, in addition to being a tourist area rich in Greek, Roman and Byzantine antiquities. and others.

A member of the provincial council, Nidal Mikael, pointed out that the Qandil Forum, through its economic, intellectual, heritage, artistic and literary activities, sheds light on many social and heritage aspects, which without it would have been in the midst of extinction. Proof of this is the revival of a popular heritage occasion, including Al-Quzli and the annual Ugarit Archaeological Festival and its periodic weekly activities that He does it permanently.

And the festival's media official, Ahlam Al-Rifai, pointed out that what distinguishes the festival this year is the presence of attendance from most of the Syrian regions, including Al-Bukamal, the Damascus countryside and the occupied Syrian Golan, in addition to the participation of the Palestinian Land Ensemble and the singing of local and Palestinian singers and an audio message from Basra.

Sheikh Muhammad al-Aql Abu Raed said that he came from the countryside of Damascus to attend the Aramo Festival, as was the custom in his clan, to attend every event held to share the joy of family and loved ones.

In turn, Sheikh Hafez Muhammad Al-Mousa, from the Al-Sbarja clan, from the Al-Naim tribe from the Syrian Golan, explained that they came to participate in this cultural and heritage festival to prove to the whole world that there is no difference between any Syrian city and another. The Syrian people are one body.

Sheikh Mishaal Al-Juwair of the Bani Hashem clan residing in the State of Kuwait came to prove to the whole world that the Syrian people are united and solid in the face of every enemy and that Syria will be rebuilt with the determination of the wise Syrian leadership, the steadfast people and the steadfast army.

The activities also include a tour of the village that includes an introduction to the archaeological and heritage areas and its main landmarks, including the church, the book, the tannour, and the new Qandil center.

The activities of the second day include traditional paragraphs and popular games such as the league walk, rope tug of war, winning the prize, folk dabkeh, and cooperation in planting some plants in the village, in addition to reading the will of the grandparents to the grandchildren and honoring the outstanding in secondary and middle school in the municipality of Aramo.
