Tartous-Sana
With the participation of five young poets of Tartous and in the presence of literary figures, the Arab Writers Union branch in Tartous opened today as a platform to support their literary production.
The head of the Arab Writers Union branch in the governorate, Munther Issa, began his speech by talking about the union’s interest in new talents, so that the poetry club would have its beginning, indicating that work is underway to select texts for young people to publish as a motivating factor for them, and he hoped that the club would achieve the desired goal by supporting those talents.
Fadi Mustafa recited two poems, one of them a flirtatious one entitled “Elite of the Soul,” considering the club an important vision in the literary work of young people.
In turn, Ghinwa Mustafa recited several poems, including the poem “Country of the Moon” and another in which she told the story of 70 years of Palestinian steadfastness, while Ali Issa considered that his participation in several literary activities earned him cultural richness. The launch of the club is a beautiful initiative to prepare a new generation of writers who carry the torch of literature and culture.
Yazan Issa concluded with two poems, the first entitled “The Lover” and the other emotionally.
The former head of the Arab Writers Union in Homs, Talib Hammash, presented an approach to the development of poetry and its types and the necessity of musical and rhythmic harmony, and read a poem entitled “I do not have a friend or a friend.”
The club's first activity concluded with a musical performance by the Sons of Lawyers band formed by the Cultural Lawyers Forum.
