Work on the bridge pillars: Due to renovation work, the Sylvenstein Bridge will probably only be passable in one lane until the end of October.

Work is currently underway on the Sylvenstein Bridge.
A total of around 1.3 million euros will go into the repairs.
Lenggries – If you want to drive over the Sylvenstein Bridge by car, you may have to be patient at the moment: As was the case last year, the road is closed on one side and a traffic light controls the traffic.
The reason for this is repair work on the bridge pillars and the underside of the bridge, as the responsible site manager Karin Bader from the Weilheim State Building Authority explains.
Water damage to the bridge piers will be repaired
The bridge was already being worked on in 2021. "We renewed the transverse joints there," explains Karin Bader.
These are visible on the road as stripes about 60 centimeters wide.
The reason was that these joints between the individual elements were leaking, so that water dripped onto the concrete pillars underneath and caused damage there.
By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.
Such damage - such as concrete spalling or cracks - will now be repaired this year, says Bader.
Construction work began after the G7 summit at the end of June.
If everything goes according to plan, everything should be ready by the end of October.
However, it is difficult to predict precisely at this time.
"We are also affected by delivery bottlenecks," says the site manager.
A traffic light will direct traffic past the construction site
The traffic light, which alternately directs traffic from both directions in one lane past the construction site, is traffic-controlled, so that the direction of travel from which more vehicles are coming is always green longer.
The cost of the renovation is estimated at 1.3 million euros.
