It was supposed to be an ordinary, busy evening at the meat restaurant "Halav Ha'ar" in Eilat, but one family who did not like the fact that they had to wait for a table to become available, in the absence of a reservation in advance, turned the evening into a god accompanied by wooden chairs flying in the air and waiters taking punches.
The family members arrived at the entrance of the restaurant located on the main street in Eilat, near the hotel area and asked to come in to eat.
The hostess told them that the restaurant was full and they should wait outside.
An exchange began between the family members and the hostess, while the family members insulted the hostess and spoke to her in a rude manner.
One of the women stepped forward and kicked the hostess and the frightened hostess burst into tears.
Immediately after that, a storm broke out, the waiters tried to calm the raging family members, and grabbed chairs over their bodies.
A mass brawl in an Eilat restaurant
The management of the Broad Heart restaurant stated: "We condemn any violence towards the employees and on the restaurant premises and will not allow people who behave in verbal or physical violence to enter the restaurant. Our waiters do not have to defend themselves against violent people and grab chairs over their bodies, we will not allow violent behavior in the restaurant."
The restaurant's management filed a police complaint against the guests and handed over security footage to the Eilat police.
The police stated that "immediately upon receiving the report about the incident, police officers were called to the scene and an investigation was opened. We view violence of any kind as serious and will carry out the necessary actions in order to reach the truth and bring those involved to justice."
