A tourist from Bavaria crashed into the track bed at Munich's Harras.

Apparently he was trying to get on a train that was already leaving.

A 67-year-old tourist from Laufach in Lower Franconia fell on the track bed at Harras on Saturday evening, August 13th.

According to a press release from the federal police, the pensioner tried to board a train at around 10:40 p.m., but it was already about to leave.

It was not until April that a man fell in front of an incoming subway train on Harras – he died.

The police report that the man tried to board the "already dispatched RB 57 of the Bavarian Regiobahn" that runs between Munich and Holzkirchen.

He tried to open a closed train door by pressing a button.

Then the train suddenly started and the pensioner slipped into the gap between the platform and the regional train.

Then he fell into the track bed.

Fortunately, the train driver managed to bring the regional train to a standstill immediately.

Thus, there was no longer any danger for the 67-year-old.

The police and rescue workers came and rescued the man from the track bed.

He sustained a concussion and abrasions, but was responsive throughout the operation.

Pensioner is probably lucky - train driver with shock

According to police, the victim was slightly intoxicated.

He had visited Munich for tourist purposes, it is said.

In addition, the exact injury pattern of the gentleman still has to be determined, but the train driver suffered a shock and was unable to continue his work.

In addition, the exact course of the accident on the heavily frequented platform still has to be determined, reports the federal police.

Finally, the officials warn against trying to get in if the door knob is already red.
