The trips to Poland will not take place later this year either due to the disputes between the countries - this is what the Education and Foreign Ministries announced today (Sunday).
According to the joint announcement, the Israeli delegation that held talks with the Polish side in Warsaw failed to resolve the debate on the contents and security of the delegations.
The trips were resumed earlier this year after two years in which they did not go out due to the corona epidemic, and were canceled for the summer months due to the demands of Poland.
The debate with Poland arose around its desire to change the process that the students go through on the trips, among other things in relation to their part in the Second World War, to training sets, visiting certain sites and the way in which Russia's part in the victory over Germany is presented.
In Israel it was believed that they had reached a compromise, but the demands resurfaced in the talks about Poland's desire to change the security of the trips, while in Poland they insist that they will not comprehensively approve the Shin Bet personnel who secure the students to carry weapons on the country's territory.
