The long lines at airports around the world continue, and at one of the largest airports in Europe, Schiphol near Bamsterdam, where many Israelis also pass through, they decided to compensate the passengers who missed their flights.
The Dutch airport faced many lawsuits from passengers who lost their flights, hotel rooms they booked, attractions, etc.
At the airport, agreements were reached with the Dutch Consumer Council, under which the passengers who lost money due to the long queues will be compensated.

Anyone who flew between April 23 and August 11 and missed his flight due to the long queues and the airport's conduct, will be entitled to payment for a new flight reservation, the hotel he paid for as a result of the delay, and for the attractions and transportation he paid for and which he did not use due to the airport's conduct.
Schiphol is one of the airports that suffered the longest queues this year.
At one point, flights from the airport were restricted, which together with Heathrow in London were considered two of the busiest in Europe.
