While the windows were closed, passersby heard screams coming from this car, parked in direct sunlight, and alerted the fire department.
The two children, in an advanced state of dehydration according to the regional daily, were able to be taken out of the vehicle in time.
The mother was later arrested by police.
Asked, she assured that she had left to go do some quick shopping but that she had lingered in the rays.
