Today, the Chinese National Meteorological Observatory renewed the issuance of a red alert to face high temperatures, with the continuation of the severe heat wave in many regions of the country.
And the Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted the center as saying, "It is expected that parts of Shaanxi, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Hubei, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Chongqing and Xinjiang will witness temperatures that may exceed 40 degrees Celsius," calling for avoiding outdoor activities during periods of high temperatures and taking the necessary preventive measures.
In China, there is a weather warning system consisting of four colour-coded levels, with red being the most intense, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
