Former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot announced this morning (Sunday) that he will run in the upcoming Knesset elections together with Ministers Benny Gantz and Gideon Sa'ar under a list that will be called "the state camp". The announcement stated that Defense Minister Chairman Blue and White Gantz will lead the list, in second place will be Minister Justice and the chairman of Tikva Hadada Sa'ar, and in third place Eisenkot - who is expected to add to the list additional candidates whose names will be announced soon.

It was also decided that within the framework of the agreement signed last night immediately after the elections, the "state camp" will begin to regulate its institutions and hold democratic internal elections in preparation for the elections to the 26th Knesset. The union will be the basis for the establishment of a broad and stable state government that will bring an end to the ongoing political crisis, the fusion of the rift between the parts of Israeli society and the promotion of the national interests of the State of Israel in security, economy, internal security and education," it was stated.
