Hundreds accompany the former Minister of Education at the cemetery in Kibbutz Hatzer where he grew up.

The winner of the Israel Prize, Aharon Yadlin, is now (Sunday) being laid to rest in the cemetery in Kibbutz Hatzerim.

The funeral is attended by hundreds of relatives and family members.

His wife Adina Handler Lindberg, his son former head of Aman Amos Yadlin and the country's president Yitzhak Herzog paid tribute to him.

"After all, in so many ways - we were all your students Aharon!" said President Herzog.

"We are all your students, because you always loved peace and pursued peace, you loved mankind with all your heart, and you brought them closer to the Torah, to education, to learning, to heritage. You were a man of the labor movement with every fiber of your soul, you were a man of vision and action, who knew how to dream and see from afar, and at the same time really Also toil and fulfill with your own two hands.

"For many years I have had the privilege of working with you and learning from you. And I have always seen you as a public leader who holds to iron principles, a true democrat, whose worldview is solid and well-founded. A man of compromise and dialogue, of human love, understanding and listening to others and others. Always so modest and humble, without a hint of manners Sharara, who travels all over the country by bus, in sandals and a silly hat, and always arrives at every site and site in the country, retire from your sleep and do more action for the noble cause," added the president of the country.

Thank you Aharon for your tremendous contribution to the country and society: to the empowerment of the education system and building its future, to the strengthening of the working settlement, and for being a beacon of love for the land and love for people," concluded the President .
