Ye Yijian publicly announced in June this year that his Taiwanese "Apple News" had been sold, and was acquired by Hong Kong businessman Huang Hao and 17Live founder Pan Jiexian for NT$1.5 billion, but the liquidator of Hong Kong's Next Media Company later issued an announcement denying the agreement .

According to the report, Mark Simon pointed out in the complaint that the shareholders of Hong Kong Next Media have never been informed in advance of the sale of Taiwan Ping, and have never authorized anyone to sell the assets of Taiwan Ping. Shareholders with a considerable proportion of the shares of Hong Kong Next Media related companies, in order to protect the rights and interests of Next Media and other shareholders, they came forward to file a complaint with the Shilin District Prosecutor's Office."

The complaint pointed out that Ye Yijian and others sold the assets of the Taiwan Apple branch without the consent of the head office and never notified the head office.

The complaint further stated that Ye Yijian, Wu Yuai and Chen Zanxin were suspected of discussing the sale of Taiwan Ping’s assets privately with Huang Hao and Pan Jiexian, but did not inform the head office; they were even suspected of using the sale of assets in exchange for accepting arrangements from new buyers in exchange for the new company.
