Australian police announced today that a man has been arrested after shooting at the Canberra Airport terminal building and has been stripped of his firearm.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) quoted the police as saying in a media statement: “The closed circuit television was reviewed and it was found that the detained person is the only person responsible for this incident. injuries.”
Acting Police Inspector Dave Craft said the man entered the airport and sat near the check-out area, and about five minutes later this man pulled out his firearm and fired about five shots.
Canberra Airport announced on its account on the social networking site (Twitter) today that the airport (resumed its normal operations).
