The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, discussed with poultry breeders appropriate solutions to ensure the continued flow of broilers and eggs in the markets at reasonable prices.
During the meeting, the difficulties and obstacles facing poultry breeders in terms of high production costs and work on increasing the feed and fuel provided to them, in addition to providing the necessary vaccines, were discussed.
Minister Salem stressed setting a regular and accurate pricing based on the real cost of broiler production and its requirements, the availability of the material in the market, not losing the breeders, working to control the price of broiler material offered in the markets (shawarma, broasted, chopped, etc.), and not committing violations that will be met with the most severe penalties against anyone who tries to sell at a price Plus.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Minister for Consumer Protection Affairs Samer Soussi, Director General of the Syrian Trade Establishment Ziad Hazaa, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Hussam Nasrallah, Director of Prices Nidal Maqsoud, and President of the Consumer Protection Association Abdul Aziz Maaqali.
