Hama-Sana
The Hama Agriculture Directorate estimated the production of 563 tons of lemon and orange crops in the lands under the supervision of the Directorate's work during the current season.
The assistant director of agriculture, Eng. Sattam Al-Khalil, told SANA reporter that the areas planted with oranges amounted to 213 hectares, planted with 13,579 trees, of which 13,449 are fruitful trees, which are expected to produce 147 tons, most of which are in irrigated lands, and their cultivation places are concentrated in the Masyaf and Kafr Zita areas.
Al-Khalil pointed out that the areas planted with lemon trees amounted to 388 hectares, of which 351 hectares were irrigated and the rest was irrigated with 36,820 trees, including 35,375 fruitful trees, which are expected to produce 416 tons of lemon fruits, most of them irrigated.
