A special group of musicians with special needs was established as part of the Makoruk project, which combines source studies with an original musical work, intended mainly for young musicians of high school age as well as for groups of graduates.
In addition to young and mature musicians, as well as artists with disabilities, prominent musicians such as Ronit Shahar, Dan Toran, Amir Lev, Micha Shtrit, Korin Alel and more take part in the project supported by the Lottery.
"I go into the studio with them, count them 1,2,3, they start singing, I feel that the sky is the limit and there are no gaps between us," said creator Ronit Shahar.
"This is an exciting project."
"I get excited every time," noted director and founder of Makuruk Israel, David Aviv.
"This is a group that is all musicians with special needs. The music takes the words to the highest places, it leverages this whole move and it's very exciting."
