Media in the country reported another attack on the Antonovsky Bridge in the south of the country • The damage to the bridges puts the large Russian force on the left bank of the Dnieper in danger of being cut off • In the Donbass, the Russian army continues to advance slowly

In the past day, the Ukrainian army increased the pressure on the bridges over the Dnieper River in the south of the country, in an attempt to isolate the large Russian force located on the left bank of the river, around the city of Kherson, which is occupied by Russia.

According to the reports, the Antonovsky Bridge, located east of the city and connecting it with the right bank of the river, was hit by two different long-range missile shells and is now impassable.

Yesterday the Ukrainians shelled the bridge over the river near the Banovakhovka dam, which is east of Kherson, but it is not clear if the bridge is still useful.

The head of the communication center of the Ukrainian army, journalist Natalya Gominuk, said that all the bridges on the Dnieper were attacked in the past day in a concerted effort to put them out of use.

"We continued to shoot fire aimed at controlling the arteries of transportation and logistics in the temporarily occupied territories," said Gomainuk.

"The goal is to get the occupier to perform more 'gestures of goodwill' in the direction we need," the spokeswoman said, referring to the withdrawal of the Russian army from the north of the country in April, as well as the withdrawal from Snake Island, defined by the Kremlin as a "gesture of goodwill".

In her words, Gomineuk alluded to the possibility that the Russian army is gradually withdrawing its command from the area of the city of Kherson for fear of encirclement and said: "Little by little, the Russian army is using the remains of its active transport system in order to evacuate its commanders to the right bank so that they feel safe there."

Despite the optimistic reports, the Ukrainian counterattack in the south continues to be delayed, this after the Russian army transferred more than 20,000 soldiers and large armored forces to the southern front.

In addition.

The Russian army continues to pressure the Ukrainians on the Donbas front in the east as the fighting revolves around the town of Pisky, north of the city of Donetsk, where the Russians managed to advance a few kilometers and capture a third of the small town, while using massive artillery fire.
