Media in Syria reported this evening (Sunday) about an attack in the area of the port city of Tartus on the western coast of the country.
Locals claim to have heard the echoes of explosions.
According to media reports in Lebanon, the air defense system was activated in response to the attack.
Videos posted online showed at least two missiles making their way towards the Syrian coast.
At this point, no casualties or damage were reported and the state media in Syria did not respond to the reports.
