Karl Lauterbach predicts a difficult autumn in the corona pandemic.
Expert Stefan Genth still sees room for improvement in the planning of measures.
Berlin/Frankfurt – Germany may be facing the next corona wave.
Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach has therefore already announced measures for autumn and winter.
The basis of the rules should be the new version of the Infection Protection Act.
The federal states should have sovereignty.
There should be exceptions, for example with the mask requirement.
Among other things, the draft stipulates that masks must be worn in gastronomy.
However, people who are “freshly vaccinated” or “freshly recovered” should be allowed to visit bars, restaurants and pubs without a mask, as Lauterbach announced.
According to the Federal Minister of Health, this should be measured and controlled via the Corona-Warn-App: “Here it is provided, for example, that you can immediately see on the Corona-Warn-App from the color of the vaccination certificate whether it is a fresh vaccination or not not.” A “freshly vaccinated” person is ultimately less infectious, the minister recently emphasized.
Corona rules: Vaccination status check in retail is “not up for discussion”
For Stefan Genth, General Manager of the German Retail Association (HDE), “clear and objective criteria” for the Corona rules are necessary in this context.
"In the third year of the pandemic, there must be no blanket measures without clear evidence of necessity, effectiveness and efficiency," said Genth

According to the HDE general manager, it must be made transparent under what conditions a mask requirement will be introduced.

However, checking the vaccination status in retail is “not up for discussion”.
"2G or 3G controls in retail are rightly not an issue as long as the Bundestag does not decide on an epidemic situation of national importance.
2 and 3 G rules are not necessary in retail to protect against infection and do not represent any relief compared to the obligation to wear a mask," he said

Apart from that, such controls are “very personnel-intensive”.
Corona rules: trade association warns against "going it alone" by the federal states
Nevertheless, the federal government's package of measures is "appropriate" to combat a renewed wave of infections with the corona virus.
However, there should be no “going it alone and different interpretations” in the various federal states that are responsible for implementing the corona measures.
“In addition, the vaccination campaign must pick up speed again.
The retail trade will do its part by continuing its vaccination campaign," emphasized the managing director of the German Retail Association.

Especially hospitals and clinics but also schools do not agree.
