A 36-year-old man committed suicide on Saturday evening in the disciplinary section at the Nantes remand center, we learned from the prosecution on Sunday.
This is the second suicide in less than three days in this remand center which has 958 prisoners (including 788 housed) for 573 places according to the Interregional Directorate of Penitentiary Services of Brittany, Lower Normandy and Pays de la Loire.

The same source confirmed to AFP that a man had already been found dead in his cell on Thursday in the same establishment.
