With the participation of nine teams, the Suwayda Basketball Championship for females under 16 years concluded today, for the 3 by 3 competition, which was set up by the technical committee for the game in the governorate.
The team of the Directorate of Education Training Center won the first place in the championship hosted by the basketball courts in Al-Mazraa Sports City, after defeating the Al-Kawakib team of Al-Quraya Club in the final match by 9-7 points.
The Secretary of the Technical Committee for Basketball in Suwayda, Kamal Al-Saleem, said in a statement to SANA that the tournament came with the aim of selecting the governorate's team in preparation for the Republic's championship scheduled for the coming period, indicating that it witnessed a good technical level or a highly competitive atmosphere.
For his part, Omar Naim, a member of the Higher Committee of the Basketball Association's 3x3 competition, pointed out that the tournament helps players to learn about the specifics of this competition and brings them closer to the atmosphere of the game and helps coaches choose talents.
It is noteworthy that the participating teams are the triangle of Al-Raha, Lahetha, Al-Kafr, Al-Quraya clubs, and the Training Center of the Directorate of Education in Lahetha.
