The girl, Joy Istanbuli, was found dead and dumped in the Tal al-Nasr landfill in Homs, after she had been missing for several days.
The Ministry of Interior indicated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that after information was received to the Al-Bayada Police Department in Homs that there was a body of a girl in the aforementioned landfill, patrols from the department, the Criminal Security Branch, and the Medical and Judicial Examination Authority immediately headed to the place, and it was found that the body of an unidentified girl was no more than She is six years old and has signs of being hit with a sharp object on the head, and her facial features are completely disfigured.
The ministry explained that through preliminary investigations and as a result of the medical examination of the body, it was found that it belonged to the girl Joy Istanbuli, who went missing on the eighth of this month, as her mother was able to identify her through her clothes.
The ministry indicated that the cause of death was severe hemorrhage resulting from hitting the girl's head with a sharp object, and it was decided to hand the body over to her family, stressing that investigations into the case are continuing to uncover the circumstances of the crime, arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice to receive their just punishment.
