An emotional meeting was held today (Sunday) at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem between Shaina Glostein, the girl who survived the serious bus accident in the city, and between Reuven, an employee of a nearby store and the person who helped her escape from the scene.

The fatal accident happened on Thursday night near the Rav Shefa center in Jerusalem, and claimed the lives of Sheina's mother, Shoshana Glostein, a restrained teacher, and her daughters Chaya Sara and Hana.

5-year-old Shayna was miraculously saved, and Reuven, who works nearby, arrived at the scene, picked her up, rescued her and made sure to calm her down until her father and brother arrived.

Today, at her request, they met at the hospital, and she thanked him for what he did for her.

"I heard about 20 seconds of exploding glass," he tells Walla!.

"I ran to the scene, I first saw a little girl walking around alone. She was without shoes and was walking on glass. She was probably completely shocked. I picked her up in my arms and later passed her to someone who I later found out was her brother. Then I helped other wounded people who got out after being stuck between The stop was at the wall, I also got on the bus to see that there were no people inside. When everything calmed down, I sat the girl in a chair inside the business and gave her a popsicle and a bottle of water so that she would calm down."

Reuven came today to meet Sheina at the hospital.

"She wanted to tell me 'thank you very much' for helping her and giving her a free popsicle. I brought her some sweets. She remembers the incident in detail and knows that she lost her mother and two sisters."

According to him, during the meeting the girl said that she remembers seeing "people flying in the air".

Glostein and her two daughters were killed after an Egged bus lost control and crashed into a store in Jerusalem's Romema neighborhood.

A witness present at the scene testified that the driver was not in the bus at the time of the accident.

"I passed by the station and someone asked me to help the driver because he had a problem with the bus," he repeated.

"I helped him unload equipment from the trunk, then the bus lost control and ran towards the station down the street."

He said that the bus driver started running and tried to warn passers-by.

"The driver shouted 'I killed people,'" he said.

Also in the documents from the security cameras at the place you can see that the door of the bus was open and the driver was not in it.
