The Institute for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training for People with Disabilities in As-Suwayda Governorate announced the start of accepting applications for registration in vocational courses for the new academic year 2022/2023.
Director of Social Affairs and Labor in As-Suwayda, Samer Bahsas, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that registration is open to those with disabilities on Monday and Tuesday of every week and every day after the 28th of this month, provided that the deadline for submitting applications is set later, noting that the transfer is for students of the Institute Insured inside the city of As-Suwayda.
Bahsas indicated that the professions in the institute include sewing, knitting, embroidery, men's and women's haircuts, carpentry, electricity, air conditioning, refrigeration, agricultural professions, informatics and various handicrafts, noting that the courses are opened according to the number registered in each profession.
Each person with a disability who is a citizen of the Syrian Arab Republic or the like is accepted into the institute according to the conditions of registration. It is also possible to accept persons with disabilities who are nationals of Arab or foreign countries residing in Syria, provided that the mother is of Syrian nationality and that the age of the training applicant is not less than 15 years. Over 35 years of age on the date of submitting the application, and that he is capable of vocational training and rehabilitation in proportion to his physical, mental, sensory and cognitive abilities.
Those wishing to register at the institute located in the city of As-Suwayda on the Hajj road can submit a written request according to an approved form attached to a copy of personal identity or a copy of an individual civil record, 4 personal photos without head, a certified copy of the disability card, and a health certificate proving that it is free from communicable or contagious diseases. Or a medical report duly certified by the Health Directorate and not convicted of a felony or a heinous misdemeanor and a certified copy of the last certificate obtained with filling out a personal data form according to a form approved by the Institute’s administration and submitting a written pledge from the training student or his guardian, as the case may be, to abide by the system The institute, its laws and instructions, according to a model approved by the administration of the institute.
