Damascus-SANA

The Multiple Injury Law No. 26 of 2020 for the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army and the auxiliary forces who were subjected to more than one injury during the war operations made a quantum leap in dealing with the multiple wounded cases by reassessing the injuries, which made a difference in the lives of the wounded beneficiaries.

The wounded engineer, Fida Hamoudi, became a well-known name for the people of his neighborhood in the city of Jableh, where he teaches mathematics to dozens of students, including the families of the martyrs and the wounded.

The Wounded Al-Watan Project explained in a Facebook post that the wounded Hamoudi suffered a military injury in 2013 that led to an amputation of his lower left limb, a hearing injury and another to the head, and at that time he obtained a disability rate of 55 percent according to the previous evaluation matrix, noting that after the issuance of the law (multiple Injury) his injuries were reassessed and his disability percentage changed, so he moved to the sub-total disability segment and receives an economic grant from the project.

The project indicated that the wounded Hammoudi invested the economic grant in a small library to sell books, school supplies and stationery to be a new opportunity for him and a certain good for his family to improve his sources of income, pointing out that he is thinking of establishing an educational institute that will provide benefit and assistance to a larger number of students and take their hand to put them on the path to success and work.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Defense announced on the 8th of this month that the military medical councils and committees had finished their work in implementing the law of multiple injuries to the wounded of the army and allied forces who were injured more than one during the war operations.
