The Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch, in cooperation with the General Water Corporation, completed the maintenance of the Crescent Water Station in the city of Qamishli, which is one of the sources of water that nourishes the people in the city.
The head of the Red Crescent branch, Ali Mansour, told SANA reporter that in order to increase the productivity of the Al-Hilaliya water station and improve water pumping in the city of Qamishli, maintenance work was completed and equipment was provided to the station, which included the installation of 7 submersible pumps, density meters, metal ladders and check valves, in addition to a gantry crane and the installation of metal pipes.
Mansour pointed out that the works implemented at the station contribute to improving the pumping of drinking water to the neighborhoods of Al-Hilaliya, Al-Gharbi, the Corniche and parts of the Al-Wusta, Al-Qusour and Al-Hizam neighborhoods, in addition to reconnecting the feeding line to the National Hospital in the city of Qamishli.
It is noteworthy that the city of Qamishli is fed by water from the Al-Awija and Al-Hilaliyah stations, in addition to quantities of the Safan Dam.
