Shalom Harosh, the taxi driver who drove the terrorist who carried out the attack in Jerusalem to the police station this morning (Sunday), told Walla about the trip which in retrospect turned out to be particularly scary.

According to Harush, the terrorist Amir Sidavi, 26 years old from East Jerusalem, got into a taxi on Beit Street in Jerusalem, near Shaare Zedek Hospital.

"I picked him up at seven twenty in the morning, dropped him off at seven thirty two with an invoice," he repeated.

"He wanted to get to the police station. I dropped him off at the police station. He told them, and they must have seen the cameras - cars went out after me and searched and found the killer's gun."

"I received reinforcements from all over the State of Israel," he continued, but said - "The feeling is not good. They took the weapon, the taxi with me. Wasn't three hours in the morning enough? I lost? A gun and a knife. I wanted to take pictures before that, but the police didn't agree. They said it would ruin the investigation ".

In the meantime, the police want to extend Sidavi's detention by 12 days.

He is suspected of planning a terrorist act, attempted murder and sabotage attempting to cause the death of another.

He denies what is attributed to him.

At the same time, the police launched a ballistics test to verify that the shooting was carried out with the gun seized in the taxi.

According to an investigation conducted on the terrorist, who worked in welding, he has a criminal record.

According to his Facebook account - yesterday he was still interested in a gym in a Jewish neighborhood in the city.

In the attack carried out by Sidavi, eight people were injured, two of them in a serious condition.

According to security officials, "he felt the pressure on him and his immediate environment" following the intensifying manhunt by the security forces.

"We raided the house of his brother and sister, we closed all the places he could think of escaping to. Including outside the Jerusalem sector. The pressure on him resulted in him turning himself in."

Three members of his family were arrested, including his mother.

The attack took place in two arenas, adjacent to each other.

The first is on Maale HaShalom Street, where the bus was traveling.

During the trip, the driver stopped to help a passenger in a wheelchair get on the bus.

At that moment, the terrorist emerged and took advantage of the open doors to shoot at the bus passengers.

The scene of the second attack was on Ma'ale Street, near the entrance to the parking lot of the Tomb of King David, where the terrorist fired at a private vehicle.

"There was a lot of chaos, we remember a lot of panic and screaming," said Roy and Naftali, who were traveling on the bus at the time of the attack.

"We both got on at the Western Wall station and sat down in the back seat. Suddenly the bus stopped abruptly. We noticed that the driver opened the doors and helped a passenger in a wheelchair get on. At that point the terrorist arrived and started shooting at the bus."
