The police started an investigation after the traffic unit officers of the Yarkon area police noticed a truck standing at the intersection.
"The policeman announced from the car to the truck driver, who did not respond," it was reported.
"The policeman went out to the driver and noticed that he was sleeping in the truck, while he was causing congestion on the road by stopping him. The policeman also noticed a beer bottle thrown at the driver's feet and a strong smell of alcohol wafting from him."
The driver of the truck, which weighs about 3,500 tons, was detained for a breathalyzer test, the results of which exceeded the permissible limit.
Despite the policeman's warnings, the suspect lit a cigarette in an attempt to disrupt the results of the owl test.
The suspect was summoned to a hearing before a police officer, his license and truck license were taken from him.
