Because the overall package would put a heavy strain on the municipal coffers, the municipal councils unanimously decided at their most recent meeting to tackle the conversion in several steps and to start with the entrance and bar area.
"That's a handsome sum," said Mayor Stefan Deingruber about the cost estimate of around 325,000 euros, which an architect's office calculated for the barrier-free access to the warm outdoor pool.
This calculation included the access area, changing rooms, sanitary facilities and pool lift.
More economical solution planned for Fischbachau
On the advice of the government of Upper Bavaria, which would grant subsidies of 10 to a maximum of 30 percent, the offer should be cross-calculated again by a carpentry.
The result was that savings of more than 30,000 euros are not possible, although the price increases in the construction industry have not yet been taken into account.
Deingruber suggested a more economical solution in stages and not a bloated one with grants and added that talks had already been held with the Disability Officer Klaus Schönauer.
Accordingly, the conversion of the access and counter area is the most urgent.
According to the carpentry, the costs for this amount to a good 9,500 euros net.
The district government said that such a partial measure would also be eligible, provided that the barrier-free expansion was further promoted.
Rebuild the entrance and bar area first
Josef Obermaier (CSU) called the plan absolutely correct, which Bernhard Padeller (FaB) also followed: “It doesn’t all have to happen at once.
The entrance area is important now.” It was then unanimously decided to convert the warm outdoor pool to be barrier-free and to limit the first construction phase to the entrance and bar area.
The administration was commissioned to obtain offers and to submit funding applications.
The urgent wish of Korbinian Wolf (Greens) to bring the award procedure through to September if possible, so that the conversions can be made when the pool is closed, was welcomed by the committee.
