A 27-year-old Afghan boy died after being shot on the sidelines of an urban rodeo on Sunday in Colmar, AFP learned on Monday from concordant sources.
“ I am
opening today (Monday) a judicial investigation, with referral to an investigating judge for the charge of assassination against X
,” Colmar prosecutor Catherine Sorita-Minard told AFP, specifying that “
the author or authors are on the run
”.
The facts occurred Saturday in the middle of the day in the district of Europe, in Colmar, while a group shared a barbecue, before being disturbed by the noise of a scooter whose driver was performing a rodeo.
There followed an altercation with the driver who ended up leaving the scene before returning, shooting one of the members of the group and fleeing, according to the account of a police source.

The young Afghan, unknown to the police, was hit in the chest.
Hospitalized in critical condition, he succumbed to his injuries.
The Mulhouse branch of the judicial police is in charge of the investigation.
