Münsing – swimming from St. Heinrich to Seeshaupt: At the DLRG Schäftlarn-Wolfratshausen, the “small lake crossing”, which has become a tradition, took place again.
"Fortunately, a threatening thunderstorm passed over the southern part of Lake Starnberg so that the start could take place," reports the DLRG chairman of the Schäftlarn-Wolfratshausen local branch, Mathias Feichtbauer.
"Almost 50 swimmers made their way from St. Heinrich to the marina in Seeshaupt."

Of course, the participants then went home the same way towards the rescue station.
They covered a distance of around two and a half kilometers in total.
According to Feichtbauer, the challenge this year was greater than in previous years: Reason: the high waves, which made swimming through Lake Starnberg much more strenuous.
“The successful swimmers liked the sausages from the grill that much better,” adds Feichtbauer with a smile.
Lake crossing from St. Heinrich to Seeshaupt runs safely
During the traditional lake crossing, the DLRG Schäftlarn-Wolfratshausen security team routinely secured the swimming event again this year.
In addition to their own members, there were also comrades from the DRLG Haar and Gmund (Miesbach district) and the Wolfratshausen and Benediktbeuern mountain rescue service.
Likewise the fire brigade Weidach.
After the swim, the friends and comrades sat together late into the night in front of the water rescue station in St. Heinrich, who can now look back on a few joint activities.
“Everyone will be swimming with us again next year,” says the DLRG chairman.
Especially those who asked to be picked up halfway have made plans to cover the entire route there and back next year.
