This is how Olivier Picard, 47 years old and in service for twenty-five years, was mobilized at the end of July on the fire in Aubais (Gard), which ravaged 360 hectares of forest and injured several of his colleagues. .

As he advanced with his team to survey the extent of the fire, the flames turned on them.

Emergency procedure initiated, the firefighters locked themselves in the truck.

The waves of fire affected the vehicle for about thirty seconds.
