The Criminal Security Department arrested four people on charges of dealing with suspicious websites.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of that, as part of the efforts exerted to follow up and combat the dissemination and transmission of false news and malicious rumors that are circulated on some social media pages for suspicious purposes and to offend state institutions, the Criminal Security Department arrested four people for the crime of communicating and dealing with these websites. e.
The ministry pointed out that the detainees confessed, during interrogation, to having contacted one of the suspicious pages managed from abroad and providing it with fabricated and false information about the military and civil judiciary, the Central Organization for Financial Control and police units in the police commands of the governorates of Homs and Idlib and leaking false and distorted information to cause confusion and abuse of their performance. institutions and their work.
The ministry confirmed that the arrested will be presented to the competent judiciary to receive their just punishment.
The ministry called on citizens to be careful and not to be deceived by the fake slogans raised by these websites, stressing that it will continue to pursue all those who deal with these suspicious websites based on laws and regulations.
