a 38% increase in the number of Israelis who traveled to Sinai and passed through the Taba crossing during the month of July 2022, compared to July 2019. From June 2022 until today, approximately 348,000 Israelis have passed through Taba entering and leaving Sinai.
In recent days there has been an increase in the traffic of passengers leaving the Taba crossing for Sinai, with an emphasis on families.
Also, there were many congestions at the crossing, with many remaining in line for long hours under the scorching sun.
Since the beginning of August, approximately 91 thousand passengers have passed through Taba.
48 thousand moved to Sinai and 37 thousand left the peninsula for Israel.
Also, about 2,000 tourists come in and out.
In July 2022, 164,982 incoming and outgoing people passed through the crossing - of which 155,557 thousand Israelis and 10,425 tourists.
In June 2022, 92,800 thousand passengers passed through Taba.
