This is how chapter 2 opens.

The customer's demand: that the color palette should include red (photo: Oren Amos)

The reason: the owner of the house has been maintaining a red collector's car for two years (photo: Oren Amos)

The project:

The interior designer Sissy Arzi, who is responsible for the special design of the apartment in the modern building in Rosh Ha'Ain HaSheda. "This is an apartment that opens the new second chapter of her life, together with her partner.

Her older daughters have already left the nest.

She requested that the palette of shades include the color red.

Why?

Because that's the color of her collector car - a red Mustang that she's been cultivating for the past two years."

Do you recognize the "wow effect"? (Photo: Oren Amos)

"We worked on this project for 4 intense months full of action. My design idea was to create a center in the public space that would create the "wow" effect for everyone who enters the apartment," Arzi continues.

"I decided to create an interesting composition of carpentry that spans three continuous walls, from the living room to the kitchen. In this way, you can enjoy the wow effect I created wherever you are. It was important to me to design these power walls so that they would be functional, so they incorporate a widescreen television , a storage place for the multimedia devices and produce endless storage places inside the carpentry."

Indeed, as requested by the owner of the house, the red color in the project is the heart of the matter and its presence is numerous - and impressive.

The cheerful and happy shade, which brings out the character of the customer in the best way, is found in all the spaces in the house, in high and low tones.

"Within the carpentry, I made sure to incorporate open asymmetric niches in a reddish tone," explains the designer.

"In these niches I placed decorative items that, on the one hand, add power and interest to the space and at the same time do not steal the focus of the red background. For this to happen, I placed items in neutral shades that do not take over and blend in harmoniously. Also in the living room you can see a combination of red in the form of an armchair that creates a point of interest in the living room that the color dominates where it is gray".

Lines and stripes flow throughout the length and width of the house.

The stripes return here as well, but in a much more neutral way.

Fine and harmonious stripes are woven throughout the house, producing a thin, clean and delicate line.

"I call this project 'vertical stripes', thanks to the lines and stripes that characterize it," Arzi sums up the tour.

"These lines are drawn on the carpentry throughout the public space that includes the living room and the kitchen - for example on the power wall in the living room, as well as on the sideboard at the entrance to the house. You can find mention of them in other points such as the round handles in the bathroom or in the wall covering behind the bed in the bedroom. Throughout the project I used In a neutral color palette that includes gray in all its shades, black and white - and of course touches of the color red in different shades and colors, which give the house a unique and interesting style and design line."
