"Despite the progress in the nuclear talks, the proposal did not meet Iran's legal requirements": Despite the attempts to renew the agreement with the Islamic Republic, Nasser Kanani, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, doubts the ability to move forward on the diplomatic path and blames the West for it.
The chances of reviving the original 2015 nuclear deal seem to be diminishing as the parties await the regime's response to the latest proposal submitted last week.
Although they refused to confirm it, an unofficial deadline was set for today (Monday) by the Europeans.
"The question of whether we are close to an agreement and whether this round of talks can lead to an agreement depends on the other side, especially the US, meeting Iran's legal requirements," explained Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser
Kanani,
adding that "high-level discussions have taken place and are ongoing." stated this morning in a daily briefing from the local Foreign Ministry.

The ninth round of discussions, which began on June 3, was characterized by shared suspicion against the background of the impasse the talks had previously encountered after months of contacts.
The regime in Tehran demands the removal of all sanctions on its economy as well as the termination of the investigation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding a suspicious substance that was allegedly found in a number of facilities in Iran. Also, in Tehran they demand that the USA remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of terrorist organizations , something that Washington firmly refuses.
The Iranian team is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bakri Khani and on the other side are present the representatives of the countries that signed the original nuclear agreement from 2015, among them: China, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and France, with the US participating in the negotiations "indirectly" through the president's representative Joe Biden for talks, Robert Malley.
The entire process is overseen by Enrique Mora, the deputy commissioner for foreign policy of the European Union.
