An official of the Kherson regional administration called the statements of the Kyiv regime about counterattacks on the region empty.
"They make statements of intimidation and attacks only with words, as they did about the Crimea and Donbass eight years ago," TASS news agency quoted Kirill Strimosov, deputy head of the Civil Military Administration of the Kherson region, as saying.
The Ukrainian authorities had repeatedly announced counter-attacks on Kherson, while Strimosov described such media campaigns as laundering Western grants, explaining that when the Kyiv authorities receive money from the West, they must report on their actions.
It is noteworthy that the entire Kherson province is now under the control of the Russian armed forces and the region is incorporated into the legal and economic territory of Russia, while the local authorities announce their intention to hold a referendum on the question of joining the Russian Federation.
