After months of discussions, the Islamic Republic is ready to approve the plan - but this is conditional on the removal of all sanctions • Now it remains for the USA to approve the move • The parties will meet in Vienna to sign the document

After months of discussions and against the background of the deadline set by the Europeans, the Islamic Republic submitted its answer to the final draft of the nuclear agreement.

Now it remains to be seen whether the wording is acceptable to the parties.

Ned Price, the spokesman for the US State Department, announced before the Iranian reply that he would convey Washington's official position privately to Joseph Burrell, the European Union's foreign minister.

A sign that the Iranian intentions were serious were seen earlier today (Monday) when Iran's Supreme National Security Council headed by Ali Shamkhani convened for an emergency discussion in order to examine the European proposal and assess the regime's response to the powers.

According to a report in "Noor News", the meeting was attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagari Kani, who is in charge of the talks on behalf of the Islamic Republic, who presented the members with the details of the proposal.

"The main focus of the Iran team's negotiations in Vienna was to put an end to the political claims related to the prohibited activity - the International Atomic Energy Agency's investigations surrounding the military nuclear file and receiving guarantees and guaranteeing the economic benefits of the agreement," Bagari Kani told the council members.

"Remove the sanctions"

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani referred to the negotiations with the powers and said that "despite relative progress, the proposal did not fully meet Iran's legal requirements."

The senior also transferred responsibility to the West.

The regime in Tehran demands the removal of all sanctions on its economy as well as the termination of the investigation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding a suspicious substance that was allegedly found in the past in a number of facilities in Iran. Also, in Tehran they demand that the USA remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of terrorist organizations , something that Washington refuses.

The Sealed Powers

The Iranian team is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bakri Khani and on the other side are present the representatives of the countries that signed the original nuclear agreement from 2015, among them: China, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and France, with the US participating in the negotiations "indirectly" through the president's representative Joe Biden for the talks, Robert Mali, and the whole process is conducted by Enrique Mora, the deputy commissioner for foreign policy of the European Union.
