At least three adults were injured after a roof collapsed at a Memphis elementary school, according to initial local media reports.
The incident occurred at Cummings K-8 School shortly before noon.
A portion of the roof came off and injured the librarian, who was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to the Fire Department.
Two other adults who were near the library were also injured but not seriously.

The school sent out a statement clarifying that no students were in the area at the time of the incident, which was due "to a maintenance issue."
All were evacuated and according to the directives their guardians were able to pick them up.
