Damascus-SANA
The cultural symposium held by the Directorate of Culture of Damascus at the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh focused on the importance of the Palestinian heritage and the need to preserve it and the various means used by the Zionist enemy to steal this heritage in order to abolish the Palestinian identity.
The researcher, Dr. Fadhil Abdullah, pointed out during the lecture to the many and dangerous practices that the Zionist entity worked on to steal heritage and cancel the Palestinian identity and work to Judaize and Zionize it.
Abdullah stressed that the response was and will remain an impenetrable dam against the projects of the Zionist entity that target Palestine culturally, artistically, educationally and behaviorally.
In her turn, the researcher in heritage, Dr. Naglaa Al-Khadra, pointed out the importance of preserving and protecting the Palestinian heritage, because its loss means the loss of identity and the loss of inherited Palestinian features, especially after the attempts of the Zionist entity to steal it and register it with UNESCO in its name.
The symposium included the inauguration of an art exhibition by researcher Muhammad Ali Fares, which included components from the Palestinian heritage and handicrafts made by artisans.
In a statement to SANA's reporter, Fares indicated that preserving this heritage implants the values of struggle in the hearts of the Palestinian people and their future generations.
The Hamsa Watan Ensemble, under the supervision of Jassem Issa, presented a number of Palestinian heritage songs that call for resisting the Zionist occupation and protecting the homeland and its heritage.
