Damascus-SANA

Al-Assad Library hosted a signing ceremony for the novel (Because it was) by the writer Ismail Mroueh, with the participation of a number of writers, writers and researchers.

The novel, which is located in 420 pages of large pieces, included a number of events that were linked to reality and the causes of what happened to Syria in terms of conspiracies through projections and metaphors of real names from reality and history.

In his turn, the head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, pointed out the importance of the novel due to its connection to reality through coherent and different events that linked the past and the present, which includes the conspiracies that are taking place now, the victims of which were the majority of the Syrian people.

As for Dr. Ratib Sukkar, he pointed out that the novel contains a lot of suffering and various issues and topics that came with multiple artistic and technical methods that expressed the cases of the characters it included and linked them to historical figures.

While Dr. Hassan Ahmed explained that the novel runs in two places, Damascus and Aleppo, and uses the method of kidnapping as a successor, which came with a few characters through which its events were presented spontaneously, similar to our daily conversations, during the objective narration in the places he used in the novel.

In turn, the poet Dr. Muhammad Shafiq Bitar recited a poetic poem in which he addressed the writer Marwa, reviewing some of his qualities in a manner that relied on the poetry of the two halves.

It is noteworthy that the writer Marwa has dozens of critical and literary studies in addition to his productions in the story, poetry and novel, most notably “The Land and the Man,” “Love and We Killed His Surprise,” “An Introduction to Analyzing Media Texts,” “Structure and Vision in the Syrian Novel in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century,” and others.
