The drought is clearly noticeable in Nuremberg.

For a long time one hoped, especially from the point of view of nature, for large-scale continuous rain - probably in vain.

Nuremberg – For weeks, the highest warning level for forest fires, parched plants and trees and constantly new reports of serious fires and fires.

The drought in summer 2022 is unparalleled, nationwide it is the driest summer since weather records began and the heat continues.

The consequences of the drought are also clearly noticeable in Nuremberg.

Water is becoming scarce, trees are now being watered with water from indoor swimming pools.

The hope for a wet cooling was correspondingly high, and expectations were fueled by meteorologists when they predicted the onset of cold fronts for Bavaria.

Weather in Nuremberg: Weak hope for rain

The meteorologists, including those from the German Weather Service (DWD), unanimously report that Nuremberg will have a lot of sun over the weekend, from August 12th to 14th.

The temperatures are correspondingly high, as

wetterochs.de

reports.

Maximum temperatures of around 30 degrees are to be expected there.

Then the first chance of rain: On Monday, August 15, weak south-west winds will bring some damp air to Nuremberg, the "formation of rain showers and thunderstorms" is possible, according to

wetterochs.de

.

From time to time the sun comes out, 28 degrees are given as the maximum temperature.

The situation in Nuremberg is also tense.

Nuremberg: Heat in the middle of the week – then finally cooling down?

On Tuesday, August 16th and Wednesday, August 17th, it will be really hot again.

According to wetterochs.de,

32 or 35 degrees can be reached - of

course without precipitation, mind you.

That could change by the end of the week, however.

Cooler air comes to Nuremberg, the temperatures drop to a maximum of 27 degrees.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms can form, locally even with lots of rain.

But the meteorologists put the brakes on the burgeoning hope of a wet relief, because "it doesn't look like it's going to be raining all over the place," is the sober conclusion on

wetterochs.de

.

That means: Creativity and economy are still appropriate when it comes to the water supply - then it can also be a nice summer for the vegetation.
