Many believers paid homage to the Blessed Mother on the Assumption Day in Tading.

After the service, the congregation gathered for a meal together.

Tading – The “Frauadog” in the parish and pilgrimage church of Maria Tading in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary turned out to be a big crowd puller yesterday.

With an initially cloudy sky, which later cleared up and made room for the sun, many guests gathered there, some of whom followed the festive service in front of the church.

The 400 finely scented herb bushes, which 20 hard-working members of the Forstern-Tading women's association had tied for the festive occasion, were sold out before the morning mass.

"Everybody is gone.

That was such an upswing this year, we could have used 100 more,” said Irmgard Attensberger, spiritual advisor to the Women’s Association.

The proceeds from the donation will go to Tafel Erding this year.

Parish association leader Christoph Stürzer was pleased that after the Corona break the church was full in both festive services in the morning and in the morning and also that for the first time many participants in the gallery with the church choir (directed by Regina Maier) and the instrumental ensemble took part in the festive service were able to provide atmospheric musical accompaniment.

Even a Tadinger Marienlied with solemn wind instruments sounded full-bodied (lyrics: Ursel Steutzger/music: Hans Berger).

"Here in Tading you can feel the power that you give to us," it said.

The hymn of praise culminated in a hopeful final verse with a reference to Mary's support, which the faithful would receive: "Mother of God, a song of thanksgiving be sung to you for your work here.

You have helped many, accompany us through every day.”

Pastor Stürzer thanked all the helpers who actively and enthusiastically accompanied this festive day.

In his homily, the priest referred to Mary as a "sign of hope for all of us."

She allowed herself to be filled with God's spirit, his power and his love.

As a “faithful maidservant”, Mary fully trusted in God.

"Our life should also be permeated by this symbolism." Through the Blessed Mother, people can experience "a little bit of heaven".

Stürzer called the Assumption Day a "summer Easter".

It points to life in abundance and the promise of returning to God's kingdom.

The intercessions prayed for justice and peace for all people and also for God's creation not to be destroyed in its beauty and diversity any longer.

They thought of all the people who would know no more joy and trust and also asked to strengthen the clergy to spread the good news.
