Both Harley-Davidson owners and fans flocked to the Moraltpark in Tölz for the ninth "Harley Rock'n'Race" over the long weekend.
Bad Tölz - Biker fans got their money's worth over the long weekend in the Tölz Moraltpark: After a two-year Corona break, the "Harley Rock'n'Race" took place there again and attracted masses of visitors.
"The last two days we were full to the brim," says organizer Peter Frech on Monday afternoon.
Overall, the 9th Harley meeting was a complete success.
"On Saturday we even opened earlier than planned," says organizer Steffi Hörmann.
“There was a lot of dancing and the atmosphere was great.
A total of 3,000 bikers and visitors were there.”

Harley Rock'n'Race: "You meet a lot of like-minded people"
One of the bikers is Wolfgang Berchtold from Munich.
With his Indian Roadmaster he has been coming to “Rock'n'Race” for many years.
"I think it's great that there are still people who organize things like this here," he enthuses.
"You meet a lot of like-minded people and get to know new people," says the 58-year-old.
"And you can enjoy the area here." That's why Berchtold and his friends don't drive directly back to Munich, "but via Jachenau and then over to Großweil," he explains.
"Then we can enjoy the landscape a bit more."
Roland Keil sees it that way too.
The 70-year-old has “always” driven a motorcycle – now a Harley Davidson XL 1200S.
"You get old and you don't want to drive as fast anymore," he explains with a smile.
"Cruising is nicer," he thinks.
"You can see something of the landscape there."

Excursions with the Isar Valley Chapter: Bikers from far away are there
So that bikers from further away can also get to know the beauty of the Tölzer Land, the "Isartal Chapter" offered guided tours again this year.
A total of around 60 participants took part in the trips, including bikers from Prague, Puerto Rico and Mexico, says Matthias Kunze, the chapter director.
"We were an international group." What excites him about riding a Harley?
"It's just a way of life in its own right," says Kunze.
"It makes you satisfied and happy, like therapy."
Martina Wedhorn, Treasurer of the chapter, finds the "Harley Rock'n'Race" particularly attractive because it is a "huge magnet for visitors" for Tölz.
"It's great that a different audience is addressed, beyond tradition and custom."

Everything that makes a biker's heart beat faster
In addition to sweet and hearty food stands, body painting and a ninja course for children, numerous traders also offered their goods for sale.
The brave could get pierced, others got a new haircut in the barbershop.
There were also biker accessories, jewelery and of course the bikes themselves. Ralph Lindenmayr brought an extraordinary example with him.
A strikingly designed Yamaha V-Max 1700. Lindenmayr built the machine in the special design herself.
“It takes a few hundred hours of work,” he says.
"There's no second of them." Lindenmayr, who runs his business in Munich, is happy to finally get out again.
"I'm relieved that something like that Harley meetup is happening again."
