Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu's new book, "The Story of My Life", was released today (Tuesday) for pre-sale on the American Amazon website, but will only be marketed starting in November.
In addition, the book, which Netanyahu intends to publish, was revealed in Walla!, originally written in English and today announced "Shibolt" publishing house that it will publish a version in the Hebrew language. The announcement published by the publishing house on the subject included quotes from Netanyahu's book, which is expected to combine memories and experiences from milestones in his tenure.
"The loss we suffered in the 2006 elections was crushing, the worst in my career.
Likud shrunk to only 12 seats.
Even in them we only narrowly won," described one of the quotes from the book, written in the first person.
Among the quotes revealed in the "Shibolt" announcement were the following: "During the counting, the 12th mandate fluctuated between the Likud and Avigdor Lieberman's Israel Beytenu. If the 12th mandate goes to Lieberman, he will be crowned as the leader of the opposition and I will become a footnote. In the end , the soldiers' voices gave me this consolation prize, which was meager but decisive."
"I should say thanks for that too, I said to myself, and I went to the Likud election headquarters at the exhibition grounds. It was almost empty. I spoke with my head held high, but everyone - the public, the political system, and especially the media - felt that my story was over. When I returned from the exhibition grounds, I told Sarah : "This time it really looks like the end.
Maybe I'll just resign, and we can finally live our lives."
"My Life Story" will be Netanyahu's fourth book, who at the beginning of his political career in the 1980s and 1990s wrote three books that made him a household name and branded him as an international expert on the fight against terrorism - "A Place Under the Sun", "War on Terror", and "Terrorism: How The West will be able to win'.
The book will be the first he has written in more than 25 years, of which he served as prime minister for about 15 years.
