Waldram – The memorial bathhouse Waldram-Föhrenwald recently welcomed the 10,000th visitor: It was the Ickinger history teacher Susanne Schäfer.
Susanne Schäfer has visited the museum in the Waldram district of Wolfratshausen for the fourth time: once privately, once as part of a training course and twice with a school class.
"The bathhouse is a fantastic place because the story is so tangible here and you can link it so well with the school material," says the teacher, who is currently offering a seminar on "Displaced" at the Ickinger Gymnasium: "I'm totally thrilled from the didactic preparation and the great information content.”
Badehaus chairwoman Sybille Krafft presented Schäfer with the book "LebensBilder - Portraits aus dem Föhrenwald, a Jewish DP camp", published by the association, and a "monument flower" by the artist Walter Kuhn as a welcome gift.
"The fact that since the opening of our place of remembrance in October 2018, despite being closed for months due to Corona, we are now celebrating our 10,000th
Being able to register a guest is a great success,” said Krafft.
