A fire broke out at the Kwai Chung Container Terminal.
At about 11 pm today (16th), a 40-foot-long container in Container Terminal No. 8 caught fire and smoked. The firefighters rushed to put out a fire with a hose and a team of smoke caps. During the period, when the container was opened for rescue, there was an explosion. The sound, then spewed out fire, dense smoke.
As of 0:00 a.m. on Wednesday (17th), the fire has not been extinguished, and the authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or need to evacuate during the fire.
