On video: The project that put an end to violence in kindergartens (Editor: Gilad Man Mannheim)

"Who am I? Rafi Benvanishti, a father of three children, who experienced unpleasant things with the education system in the past. As a result, I decided that today I am making a change in the field. I founded a chain of kindergartens called the Tzotsikam Kindergarten Network and from there the little brother was born."

The Little Brother is a project that was born following the law of installing cameras in kindergartens in Israel that came into effect in September 2020, under which no party is allowed to watch the cameras or what is happening in the kindergarten, except according to a court order.

And this is exactly where the little brother comes into the picture - which provides a secure and external infrastructure as well as an observation center that watches what is happening in the garden at any given moment.

Kindergartens that connect to the project are networked with cameras, which are watched by observers who alert in unusual cases.

"The idea of the little brother is actually a viewing center, where observers sit and watch everything that is done in the garden during the day," Benvanishti explains.

"This is where we see the abnormalities and patterns of behavior,

"I also had an incident of inappropriate behavior in one of my kindergartens," adds Rafi.

"I took it very hard, because I opened a kindergarten to provide insurance for the children. I paid with my health and had a heart attack. While I was lying down and experiencing all the sadness and everything that happened to me, I thought of a solution that serves me as the director of the kindergarten and protects me so that I can take care of the children in the future".

Benvanishti concludes: "As soon as a kindergarten is interested in connecting to the service, we come to the kindergarten, explain about the service and why we are committed. As soon as we receive her approval and the approval of all the parents in the kindergarten, we immediately contact Bezeq, our business partner, and network the kindergarten. Bezeq currently has the most advanced technology that meets our needs, of continuous and high-quality transmission and saving information in Bezeq's secure cloud for a period of time according to the customer's request. I always explained to the parents that as a kindergarten director I don't go around 24/7 watching the cameras, but during the day when the door closes I want to know all day what It's happening in my kindergarten. My real client is the kindergarten director who also wants to properly take care of her kindergarten. We want to restore respect to the profession and for people to be happy to work in education because it's the most perfect and satisfying thing there is, but we need to restore confidence."
