The newspaper said in its editorial today: “It is no longer a secret the role that the Israeli occupation entity played and is still playing during the aggression against Syria over the past decade. In a way that contradicts all international charters and covenants, taking advantage of the Syrian army’s preoccupation with the holy war it is waging for the sake of Syria’s sovereignty, unity and independence, which confirms that the Israeli enemy and its ambitions do not target the Palestinian territories only, but extend those ambitions to what is greater than that.”
The newspaper added: “The Israeli plan aims to prolong the state of war in Syria, which was and still is the most prominent Arab opponent that Tel Aviv fears and the most prominent pillar of the opposition against the Israeli presence in the region. Therefore, the occupation entity is keen to continue to ensure that Syria is preoccupied with it internally so that it does not play its regional role, which It stems from the liberation of the occupied Syrian Golan, which the Zionist entity seeks to devour.”
