Hausham – According to the current status, the full closure of the B 307 in Hausham could be lifted earlier than originally planned.

According to a press spokeswoman for the Rosenheim State Building Authority, the construction site is well on schedule, mainly because of the very dry weather.

Neither the full closure announced until Friday nor the overall measure scheduled until the end of September would have to be extended.

There is hope that the full closure will be finished “one or two days earlier”.

Whether that works will be decided today or tomorrow.

As reported, traffic is currently being routed extensively around Hausham because the B 307 has been completely closed since the beginning of August.

After the Hausham level crossing had been relocated, the building authority laid connections and lines for water, gas, electricity, telephone and fiber optics from March to August, as well as two crossing islands, a footpath and cycle path and a pure footpath.

The asphalting work carried out during the full closure on the southern Schlierseer Straße and paving work for the north-east side footpath and cycle path are nearing completion.

This is followed by marking work.

The spokeswoman rejects criticism that the building authority should have completed the measures earlier.

In a letter to our newspaper, one reader, for whom the detour via the Leitzachtal costs half an hour twice a day, described a construction time of more than six working days as “pure harassment” and called for weekend work.

When asked about this, the spokeswoman says that the building authority deliberately worked during the day on weekdays to protect the residents.

Because of the proximity to apartments, this makes sense.

"Please keep in mind that this is sometimes noisy work that is carried out with heavy equipment."

Even after the end of the full closure, traffic obstructions are likely to remain in Hausham.

According to the spokeswoman for the building authority, traffic lights will be used on a daily basis during the remaining work.

However, the affected route will be significantly shorter than the section currently closed.

The level crossing will also remain open.
